September 27, 2009 (New Delhi): Zakat Foundation of India is grateful to Her Excellency, the President of India, Smt. Pratibha Patil for having donated to our Happy Home & Fatima Care orphanages.

For the second year in a row ZFI'S orphanages received the following gifts from Smt. Patil: Large quantity of uncooked food items - rice, sugar, ghee and pulses. Officials from Rashtrapati Bhawan delivered the provisionsto ZFI onSeptember 20, 2009.

ZFI has received support from the President of India's Office for the past several years. The tradition was started by former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, who has continued his support even after leaving office.
