Many Members of the Ladies Wing and
students from different schools were present. Experienced members and
educationalists from the ZFI Ladies Wing shared their views with the
audience.
• Mrs. Mamdooha Majid- Executive Member of All India Muslim Personal Law
Board told how she started her journey of higher education after the age
of 30 and got the position in her career which she never expected. She
further told the students that age and family are not the barriers to
take the education, You can achieve what you want if you have the
courage.
• Mrs. Rabia Abbasi- Ex. Principal of Shafiq Memorial School, Delhi, a
Psychology Teacher, explained how can education improve the mentality
and the personality of a human being.
• Mrs. Nayab Alvi - Retired Central Govt. Officer shared her story how
she completed her education in a orthodox family and small town. Her
father was also criticised by other family members and people of town
for sending his daughter to college, But she continued her education
despite all the hurdles and made her mark tremendously.
• Mrs. Zainab Ahsan- Associate at FINOCRACY said that we have to change
our mind set that higher education is not a necessity for girls as they
have to take care of their families. She suggested that we should
educate the girls as well as counsel their parents to pursue higher
education.
• Mrs. Shazia Hoda - Member of Rahbar Educational & Welfare Trust told
the audience that she can provide free classes to all the interested
students and encouraged the girls to continue their education.
