      In Hyderabad, Mumbai, Aligarh, South India and Sri Lanka etc. organization of Zakat has already been going on. Taking a cue from their experience, the residents of Delhi established in 1998, 'Zakat Foundation of India'. You are invited to deposit your amount of zakat, sadaqa,imdaad and other charity  preferably through cheque or draft. In case you have to deposit the money in cash kindly visit the bank or depute your representative to the bank for this purpose.Alternatively, you may please call one, of the office bearers  (See home page) so that an authorised official of ZFI can be deputed to meet you and collect your charity against a printed, numbered, signed and stamped receipt.  

    The Foundation has consulted many Ulema who have appreciated this project and have offered their cooperation towards this noble cause. Distribution of zakat money is done by the Foundation in the light of Quranic Injunctions and Ahadeese Nabvi(mpbuh) and under the guidance of Ulema.

   In order to help you assess the zakat amount payable by you we have included a check 'Zakat Calculation Form'  prepared with the help of similar organisations. The Foundation will wholeheartedly welcome your suggestions for the improvement of its project.
